324,000 SF Research Facility housing biomedical engineering labs, signal processing including optics and electronics, medical sciences, physical sciences, a 18,150 SF Class 1,000 Clean Room Facility upgradeable to Class 100, and a nano-sciences fabrication facility. In addition, there is a Characterization Suite that will contain SEMs, TEMs, SIMs, AFM and Optical Labs. Overall, the project consists of two building wings joined by a central court and more than doubles the School’s teaching and lab space.
BR+A's high level of performance on the project, from concept phase through occupancy, was critical to the success of our project. They proved themselves to be solid team members, willingly providing help to all of the other team members. - Myron Taschuk, Office of Project Management, Duke University
