Liberty Proton Therapy Center

Cincinnati, Ohio

As an extension of their outpatient cancer treatment program, CCHMC is constructing a new proton facility on their Liberty Campus. The structure will be a 90,000 SF, two-story building, containing a 250 MeV Super Conducting Cyclotron Particle Accelerator to support two clinical gantries and one gantry dedicated to research. The design also includes space to accommodate one future gantry. The clinical program will consist of support MRIs and CT units. Patient treatment scheduled for winter 2016.

"BR+A has been an exceptional partner on our Cincinnati Children's Cancer Therapy Center. The BR+A team brought their engineering proton experience and meshed it with our design assist subcontractors. All parties worked in the Revit model, which was new for the majority of our team. The BR+A group brought the national expertise and leadership to our project, always willing to assist in finding the most valuable result for the construction team and our owner!" - Craig Fredrickson, Vice President, Client Executive, Linbeck Construction | Bernard P.
