A new 500,000 square-foot, 16-story inpatient and outpatient children’s health care facility to provide an exclusively child-centered environment. The new facility houses 86 inpatient beds, 10 observation beds, all private rooms, and an emergency department. The facility connects to the main hospital complex for pedestrian traffic and patient transport with two enclosed walkways. Family amenities include family rooms; outdoor and garden spaces; child life playrooms; hospital education spaces; performance space for special visitors, parties, and musical performances.
