265,000 SF Life Science Technology Building houses the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology and the departments of Biomedical Engineering, Biological Statistics and Computational Biology. The facility is also home to the H. Laurance and Nancy L. Fuller Learning Center and the Innovation Development and Economic Application (IDEA) Center. The 2-acre basement includes a 20,000 SF vivarium, a low-vibration space for imaging research, controlled environment chambers for plant research and tunnels to the Plant and Biotechnology buildings. The laboratories were designed with maximum flexibility and adjustability to accommodate the ever changing research fields.
