Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Initiative

UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT
Burlington, Vermont

Design of a new STEM facility to replace Angell Hall and the Cook Physical Science Building, as well as to renovate Votey Hall, UVM’s current engineering building. The new multi-story laboratory building will house all of the teaching and research laboratory needs of the Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, and a portion of the Engineering disciplines. Non-laboratory functions from the programs of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Statistics, Psychology, Engineering, and general purpose classrooms will be housed within the new administration building, replacing the Cook Physical Science Building. The two buildings will be connected with a new commons space.  This project will pursue a minimum of LEED Silver Certification.
