Life Sciences Laboratory 2 Fit Out

Three-level fit out of a 98,500 NSF, five-story shell structure sized to contain lab and lab support space, while leaving one level for future programming.  Each level will house a research center with state-of-the-art equipment led by faculty dedicated to partnering with life sciences and precision manufacturing companies to develop and test innovative products and services.  The three centers are; Personalized Health Monitoring, which develops nanotechnology, bio-sensor technology, new polymer, and information technology for wearable bio-sensors and healthy lifestyle applications; Bioactive Delivery, which focuses on new drug, agricultural, and “nutriceutical” compounds; and Models to Medicine, focusing on translating basic protein research into new therapeutic targets.  Project will pursue LEED Silver at a minimum.Estimated construction Cost: TBD.  Construction completion in 2015.
