Responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing approved system concepts in the construction phase.

Founded in 1975, BR+A Consulting Engineers maintains a total staff of over 500 employees located at our main office in Boston and branch offices in New York City, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, DC; Miami, FL; Chicago, IL; St. Louis, MO; Tampa, FL, Charlotte, NC and Charleston, SC. BR+A provides state-of-the-art integrated and coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection consulting engineering, technology systems design, lighting design, and building commissioning services.

BR+A is seeking applicants for a Commissioning Engineer/Project Manager position in our St. Louis office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of commissioning experience and previously demonstrated commissioning project management experience including technical, financial, project development (planning, staffing, client management, execution, reporting, closeout). Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to counsel clients and their project teams through the complex maze of the commissioning process, and the ability to secure and manage technical resources required to execute commissioning projects per plans, specifications, and project schedule is also necessary.

Prior experience working with clients and projects in the following markets is a must:

  • Healthcare;
  • Higher Education;
  • Science & Technology;
  • Transportation;
  • Critical Environments (data centers, laboratories, pharmacies, operating rooms, etc.).

 

The ideal candidates’ responsibilities will include:

  • Business development, by prospecting for commissioning opportunities & new pursuits.
  • Estimating fees, issuing proposals, closing business and executing the project;
  • Assist in filling positions required to accomplish the work;
  • Develop, maintain and publish commissioning documents on commissioning software platforms and in project documentation systems such as Procore and Building Connected.
  • Manage resources to successfully execute new and existing business;
  • Complete work backlog while managing to exceed client expectations.
  • The ability to travel frequently - about 75% of the time in- and out-of-state.
